So I have a friend who texted me and said "you must check out John Oliver's piece on Amazon". I did. It was interesting and it made me both laugh and feel sad for some of the business practices. Mostly I felt sorry for the kind of customer I founded Keenga Toys to serve because while I greatly respect what Amazon's built up there in Seattle .... I believe I do a better job of meeting your needs. So with that, I give you the top 5 reasons to shop at Keenga Toys for your Action Figures, Collectibles , Plush, and more:
1. I care about your order and the condition the package arrives in. So I saw the video of the Amazon workers pick and pack 200 items an hour in a warehouse 2 football field's long? What are the odds someone "tosses" your package into the cart. Quite literally it's Russian roulette if you order an action figure there (if you care about the condition of the packaging). To me it doesn't matter if you are buying a $7.99 Terminator 2 Action Figure a $15 Vintage Luke Skywalker or a $130 Iron Spider ArtFX + Statue: I promise I will do everything in my power to get it from my store to your door in top-notch condition. I know condition matters...there is nothing like the feeling of looking at a shiny brand new action figure in glistening packaging - come to think of it I've never seen them bubble wrap an action figure like we do with the Vintage Collection and other carded figures.
2. I don't smoke, my dog isn't allowed in the warehouse or pack room and I ALWAYS wash my hands after going to the bathroom. When I saw the talk about workers skipping washing their hands and bathroom breaks to get back on the line as soon as I possible I cringed a little inside thinking of one of them handling a plush toy (stuffed animal) I gotta be honest it totally made my skin crawl and my teeth chatter. That's just straight nasty....not gonna happen here at Keenga Toys. The only reason a plush should be yellow'd is if its Gudetama.
3. I don't have any problems with "fake" sellers or fake items. After watching the John Oliver piece I started to google other issues and found articles talking about the epidemic of fakes on Amazon that are serviced by FBA like this article in Forbes or this report that found 58,000 fakes on Amazon. I'm sure it doesn't happen to even a high single digit percentage or to many sellers but here it happens 0% of the time. All my products come from reputable companies and sales rep's I've personally shaken hands with (or more likely hugged - I'm a hugger and they like to hug when you come with money to buy) at NY's Toy Fair.
4. Small Business Needs Love too. Yes there is "Small Business Saturday" but that's really gimmicky. You make one purchase for $10 bucks at Amazon that barely registers, you make the same purchase here and it's important to me personally - just like you are when you shop here.
5. I've never accidentally "Bear Maced" Anyone. All my Bear Macing's were on purpose I promise! Ok just kidding.
In any case if you havn't seen the report I've linked it with Oliver's YouTube video below. If you have maybe you should see what Keenga has to offer.
